In the Morning by Halford

I'm living a strange period :-D ... full of confusion :-D and I couldn't decide for a new song...but now everything became clear listening to In The Morning, published by Halford in 2002 album Crucible as a bonus track for the Japanese edition. Halford is the band of Rob Halford :-D !!! the great Judas Priest singer, the best metal singer of all time! He is known for his screams at the highest frequencies but the song I'm talking about is a ballad, played with a classical guitar and the singing is calm and passionate. It doesn't need to say that its lyrics hit me someway...

This song is so beautiful! Love it!

I'll tell you something
A few more hours
I'll turn away and won't be found
All your dreaming
Your wish is falling
I'm going away to someplace
I'm searching, need some time
To, see what
I can find

I know what I want
And I can see it
I've been along this road before
I can't remember
I need an answer
And yesterday is over
Now, I'm
Chasing all the way the time
Ties, wounded memories
That tell what I feel
I lie awake and dreaming
Was I, calling out
I'm falling, in my dying garden
Take what you feel, when you're lonely.

In the morning, when your waking
I will always be with you

Make It Wit Chu by Queens Of The Stone Age

This time I want to talk about Make It Wit Chu by Queens Of The Stone Age. This song is contained in the 2007 Queens Of The Stone Age album Era Vulgaris. This album is different from the previous ones, featuring a softer sound, oriented to an indie-bluesy mood. The song Make It Wit Chu is quite funny, sure it is lighthearted...the chorus "I wanna make it wit chu anytime anywhere" says it all...!!!

These are the lyrics...enjoy!

You wanna know if I know why?
I can't say that I do,
I don't understand the evil eye,
Or how one becomes two.
And I just can't recall what started it all,
Or how to begin in the end,
I ain't here to break it,
Just see how far it will bend,
Again and again,

I wanna make it,
I wanna make it wit chu,
Anytime, anywhere,
I wanna make it,
I wanna make it wit chu,

Sometimes the same is different,
but mostly it's the same
these mysteries of life, that just ain't my thing
if I told you that I knew about the sun and the moon,
I'd be untrue,
The only thing I know for sure
Is what I wanna do,
anytime, anywhere and I say

I wanna make it, (again and again)
I wanna make it wit chu,
Anytime, anywhere,
I wanna make it, (again and again)
I wanna make it wit chu,
I wanna make it, (anytime, anywhere)
I wanna make it wit chu,
I wanna make it,
I wanna make it wit chu.

I wanna make it, (again and again)
I wanna make it wit chu,
I wanna make it, (anytime, anywhere)
I wanna make it wit chu,
I wanna make it, (again and again)
I wanna make it wit chu,
I wanna make it, (again and again and again and again and again..)

Planet Caravan by Black Sabbath

This is the time of Planet Caravan by Black Sabbath. Yes, this song was written by Black Sabbath in the 1970 for the album Paranoid...many of us didn't know it isn't a Pantera song, however it was quite unknown until Pantera covered it and included it as the last track of the successful 1994 album Far Beyond Driven. It is different from most of the Black Sabbath (and Pantera too) production, mainly for its psychedelic features: the mellow music, the lyrics, and the way these lyrics are sang (using a Leslie speaker) provide a dreamy atmosphere which involves the listener in a travel along the universe and its planets.

These are the lyrics:

We sail through endless skies
Stars shine like eyes
The black night sighs
The moon in silver trees
Falls down in tears
Light of the night
The earth, a purple blaze
Of sapphire haze
In orbit always

While down below the trees
Bathed in cool breeze
Silver starlight breaks down the night
And so we pass on by the crimson eye
Of great God mars
As we travel the universe

Passive by A Perfect Circle

Another song... This is the time of Passive by A Perfect Circle. This is a song written by modern genius Maynard James Keenan, the singer of Tool, for the Constantine movie soundtrack and contained in the A Perfect Circle album Emotive. This song seems to talk about the cancer diagnosed to John Constantine in the first part of the movie... it seems to be "dead" but you can't say that at all... it is passive but aggressive...
As to the music, it is great in the tradition of the A Perfect Circle and Maynard voice adds the emotive atmosphere which is an add-on to everything he does.

These are the lyrics...enjoy!

Dead as dead can be
The doctor tells me
But I just can’t believe him
Ever the optimistic one
I’m sure of your ability
To become my perfect enemy

Wake up and face me
Don’t play dead cause maybe
Someday I will walk away and say
You disappoint me
Maybe you’re better off this way

Leanin' over you here
Cold and catatonic
I catch a brief reflection
Of what you could and might have been
It's your right and your ability
To become my perfect enemy

Wake up and face me
Don’t play dead cause maybe
Someday I will walk away and say
You disappoint me
Maybe you’re better off this way

Maybe you’re better off this way
Maybe you’re better off this way
Maybe you’re better off this way
You’re better of this…you’re better off this…
Maybe you’re better off!

Wake up and face me
Don’t play dead cause maybe
Someday I will walk away and say
You fuckin' disappoint me
Maybe you’re better off this way

Go ahead and play dead
I know that you can hear this
Go ahead and play dead
Why can't you turn and face me?

Why can't you turn and face me?
Why can't you turn and face me?
Why can't you turn and face me?
You fuckin' disappoint me

Passive aggressive bullshit
Passive aggressive bullshit
Passive aggressive bullshit
Passive aggressive bullshit...

My first post...Quicksand Jesus by Skid Row

This is my first time I post on this blog... I'm not yet good at writing on blogs :-) but I want to share with you the more songs I listen and appreciate in my moments.

The song that opens my blog is Quicksand Jesus by Skid Row. It was published in the 1991 album Slave To The Grind and it features quite epic lyrics and sounds....Sebastian Bach reaches the highest pitch and guitars are where quiet where heavily distorted, but always in a melodious way. I think this is a real masterpiece, a gem in a great album containing other very good songs.

Here are the lyrics...I can't stop trying to sing along it :-)

She caught the melting sky
It burned but still the winter passes
By and by
To the other side

A slow parade of wind
That blows through threes
That wilted with the seasons children
Are we saved by the words
Of bastard saints
Do we live in fear or faith
Tell me now whos behind the rain

A maze of tangled grace
The symptoms of for real? are
Crumbling from embrace
But still we chase..the shadows
Of belief
And new religion clouds our visions of
The roots of our souls

Are we ashamed of our own fate
Or play the fool for our own sake
Tell me whos behind the rain

What do we need where do we go
When we get where we dont know
Why should we doubt the virgin white
Of fallen snow
When faiths our shelter from the cold

Quicksand jesus im so far away
Without you
Quicksand jesus im so far away
Without you
Quicksand jesus im so far away
Without you

Quicksand jesus I need you
Quicksand jesus I believe you
Quicksand jesus im so far away
